PURPOSE:To surely prevent the lubricating oil from staying and flowing into commutator members, by providing an end bracket with a fly-away prevention plate to cover a flange provided on an insulator for securing the commutator. CONSTITUTION:When an electric motor is in operation, lubricating oil impregnated in felt 15 is supplied to bearings 6, 6 and a rotary shaft 5 due to their temperature rise. Some of the oil flows toward a thrust washer 12 and a bushing 11 through the bearing 6. The oil having flowed out to a commutator holding insulator 9 is caused by centrifugal force to flow outward along an oil throwing flange 16 and fly away from the end of the flange. The small drops of the flying-away oil collide against a fly-away prevention plate 17 and a bearing support plate 8 and flow down toward the axis so that the lubricating oil is absorbed by the felt 15 through numerous oblique passage holes of the support plate 8 and returned through a circulation passage. The lubricating oil is thus surely prevented from staying and flowing into the commutator members. |
