PURPOSE:To hold optical fibers in the spaces enclosed by three pieces of cylindrical columnar bodies with high reliability by the constitution wherein annular or spiral grooves are engraved on the outside circumferential surfaces of three pieces of the circular columnar bodies of an equal diameter of which the outside circumferences are in linear contact with each other and a molding resin is filled in these grooves. CONSTITUTION:Grooves 5 are engraved annularly respectively in the outside circumferential surfaces of three pieces of circular columnar bodies 3 of an equal diameter, and these three bodies 3 are bundled in a manner that their outside circumferential surfaces are in linear contact with each other. The optical fiber cores 2 exposed from optical fiber coverings 1 are inserted into the spaces extending in the axial direction thereof, and the entire part is fixed in one piece by a molding resin 4. Then, discontinuation of the molding resin 4 in the linear contact parts of the bodies 3 with themselves does not occur and therefore the bodies 3 are powerfully fixed to hold the cores 2. |
