PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly accurate speed and torque control by providing a dead time correction signal generator for receiving the output from a current detector and a set dead time correction value and delivering a dead time correction signal corresponding to the current value. SOLUTION: A dead time correction signal generator 42 receives a primary current I and a set dead time correction value K and delivers a dead time correction signal Vd'. An adder 62 adds a voltage command signal V* and the dead time correction signal Vd' to produce a corrected voltage command signal V**' which is outputted to a power converter 1. A dead time correction signal generator 42 performs dead time correction not dependent on the current detection accuracy and outputs the corrected voltage command signal V**' to a power converter 1 by adding a special dead time correction signal Vd' to the voltage command signal V*.
