摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent metallic contacts of the end portions of each rest plate with a rotary plate which are generated by the reason that each rest plate is rocked through its oil film pressure being varied abruptly when starting or stopping the oil feeding of an oil lifter of a thrust bearing device. SOLUTION: A thrust bearing device adapted to perform the oil feeding to the sliding surface of a rotary plate 17 and each rest plate 18 being slid mutually thereon while supplying a high-pressure lubricating oil from an oil lifter 23 to an oil passage provided on each rest plate 18, wherein by using the following buffering means, abrupt pressure variations generated when starting or stopping the oil lifter 23 are buffered or the rockings of the rest plates 18 are directly suppressed. That is, a means for disposing a plurality of hydraulic pipings for the rest plates 18 in parallel with each other to control flow control valves 25 provided in the respective hydraulic pipings, a means for disposing a variable-speed controller as the one of the driving motor for the hydraulic pump of the oil lifter 23, and a means for disposing a shock absorber in the supporting portion of each rest plate 18 to suppress the rocking of each rest plate 18 caused by the abrupt pressure variation are used respectively.
