The present invention relates to a clamp for fastening flexible tubes, particularly hoses used for conveying pressurised fluids. It is sometimes desired to use a clamp which does not provide a completely rigid fastening to the tube. Several clamps have been proposed for this purpose but such clamps have involved the use of ribs or welds which introduce their own disadvantages. The present invention provides a clamp comprising a closed ring 1 having at least one portion forming a lug 2. Prior to application of the clamp, the lug 2 has a central section defining a concave surface 3, the centre of concavity lying outside the ring 1. The central section of the lug 2 has a side portion 4 at either end and the side portions 4 join the ring 1. The side portions 4 do not extend radially from the ring 1 and are inclined at an angle 5 in order to increase the length of the surface 3. In order to fit the clamp to a hose pressure is applied to the side portions 4 in the direction of the arrow 6 and fastening of the clamp to a hose results in the concavity of surface 3 being reduced and may result in a plane surface 3a being formed.

|
