PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce battery voltage of a secondary battery by containing a material capable of storing-releasing lithium in one electrode as an active material, and containing lithium having an inverse fluorite type structure and a transition metal nitride in the other electrode as an active material. SOLUTION: Transition metal (a nitride) and a sodium nitride excessive more than the composition ratio are mixed together, and it is baked at 400 to 1300 deg.C in a nitrogen atmosphere containing hydrogen, and an active material composed of a lithium transition metal nitride having an inverse fluorite type structure having a formula Lix MNy (M represents Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Nb, Ta, Mo and W, and 1<=x<=7.6 and 2<=y<=4 are realized) is obtained. A positive electrode 3 containing a positive electrode current collecting body 2 composed of lithium or an active material of a material capable of storing-releasing lithium is press-fitted to a positive electrode can 1 on which insulating packing 8 is placed, and a negative electrode 6 composed of the active material is layered through a separator 7 containing a nonaqueous ion conductor, and a negative electrode can 4 is superposed through the insulating packing 8, and it is sealed. |
