PURPOSE:To improve heating efficiency, by electrically insulating a heating body by an electric-insulating heat-resisting material, providing a heating means, which is embedded in the base material of the solid electrolyte comprising the same material as the raw material of a separating wall, and bonding the heating means to the separating wall so as to form a unitary body with the main body of a cell. CONSTITUTION:A concentration cell is constituted by a separating wall 1 of a solid electrolyte having oxygen ion conductivity, porous electrodes 2 and 3, and a heating means 5. The heating means 5 heats the separating wall 1 to an arbitrary temperature of about 400 deg.C or more and has a plate shape. A vacant space 5, in which a standard material is present, is formed by the separating wall 1 and the heating means 5, which is extended at the upper part. The heating means 5 forms a unitary body with the separating wall 1. The heating means 5 is composed of the base materials 5A and 5B comprising the same material as that of the separating wall 1, insulating layers 5E and 5F comprising an electric-insulating heat-resisting material, and a heating body 5D, which is screen- printed on a layer 5E. |
