PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which returns a wrong payment form to prevent a double payment when the wrong payment form is put into an automatic teller machine by mistake for execution of a transaction. SOLUTION: The method which can prevent a double payment by automatically reading the contents of a payment form such as an invoice, etc., and performing the payment through an automatic teller machine, has at least a judging step 12 to judge the presence or absence of a payment form that is already paid based on the information read out of the payment form, and a return step 18 to return the payment form that is judged in the step 12. In such a constitution, the teller machine automatically judges a payment form that is already paid and put into the teller machine again for payment and immediately returns the payment form. Thus, the double payment can be prevented. |
