PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having an electrophotographic sensitive layer contg. a novel electric charge transfer material by using a specific hydrazone compd. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer contg. the hydrazone compd. expressed by formula I is provided on a conductive substrate. The hydrazone compd. is usable for the photosensitive layers of the following forms (1)-(4): (1) The single layer type photosensitive layer contg. simultaneously a charge generating agent and the hydrazone compd. (2) The single layer type photosensitive layer contg. simultaneously a sensitizing dye and the hydrazone compd. (3) The laminated type photosensitive layer provided with a charge generating layer contg. a charge generating agent and a charge transfer layer contg. the hydrazone compd. (4) The laminated type photosensitive layer provided with the charge generating layer contg. the charge generating agent and the hydrazone compd. and the charge transfer layer contg. the charge transfer layer.
