In a filter centrifuge having a cantilever rotatably mounted drum provided with radial filter through-holes, having a filling opening provided on the free drum end wall and having a fixed filling tube passing through the filling opening whose outlet end is located within the drum during the centrifuging process, to prevent exit of liquid past the filling tube into the open, it is provided that the filling opening of the drum is covered by a spray guard arranged in the interior of the drum rotating with this and surrounding the outlet end of the filling tube.
