The invention relates to an accident-prevention boot made of rubber, PVC or a similar elastic material with a steel sole arranged in the boot bottom and an insert for impact absorption arranged in the heel. The essential feature of this boot consists in that the separately manufactured heel has, in an upwardly open cavity, a rigidly arranged ribbed structure as an impact insert and the edges of the ribbed structure and the heel edge lie in a planar surface which constitutes the adhesion surface to the bottom of the shaft boot.
