PURPOSE:To realize a lightweight, low-cost polarized wave converting grating which is easily manufactured, superior in environmental resistance, and molded in an optional shape by arranging and weaving metallic wires at specific intervals. CONSTITUTION:Woven fabric which has electromagnetic wave polarization selectivity is formed by weaving lateral yawn 1 made of nonmetallic fiber and lateral yawn 3 made of metallic wire mixedly. Said lateral yarn 1 and lateral yarn 3 are woven regularly at intervals which are determined properly according to the wavelength of an object electromagnetic wave. Three sheets of woven fabric C having the electromagnetic wave polarization selectivity are arranged shifting in polarization direction by 20 deg. and one sheet of nonmetallic woven fabric N each is interposed between them; and then they are fixed by using a synthetic resin material H. Said synthetic resin material H uses, for example, polyester resin, acrylic resin, etc. Internal woven fabric is flexible, so any shape is molded.
