PURPOSE:To enable the drawing of a stable recording line regardless of changes in the ambient temperature, by providing a partition plate between a cotton-like fiber and a liquid absorbing member to form a constant air layer, by which pressure changes of an ink chamber are absorbed. CONSTITUTION:A planar partition 10 is provided on the top of a cotton-like fiber 17 provided in a compensation chamber and a liquid absorbing member 14 is provided on the top thereof through an air layer 11. As the temperature in the perimeter of a case rises, an excess of ink absorbed by the cotton-like fiber with a pressure of an ink chamber 16 is sucked up with the air layer 11 on the partition 10. With a further rise in the temperature, the ink is sucked up with the liquid sucking member 14 in contact therewith by capillary phenomenon to form a space again in the air layer 11. As the ambient temperature falls, the pressure of the ink chamber 16 lowers and the ink of the liquid sucking member 14 returns to an ink chamber 16 through a passage port 18 by way of the air layer 11 and the cotton-like fiber 17. This enables the drawing of a stable recording line free from changes by the ambient temperature. |
