PURPOSE: To completely align edges adjacent to printed signatures or sheets mutually by disposing a stop element for pushing the printed signatures or sheets to a sliding pusher dog in the transfer range of each infeed conveyor. CONSTITUTION: In a second overlapping conveyor 18, a printed signature or sheet 30 is dropped on an already existing printed signature or sheet 28 by a distance (d) in front, and fed in the direction of an arrow 34 while the distance (d) is maintained. Then, the overlapping conveyor 18 is sent from left to right, the printed signature or sheet 30 on a fourth overlapping conveyor 18 is protruded into contact with a stop element 36 and, while the printed signature or sheet 28 therebelow is continuously fed, further feeding motion caused by friction connection is prevented by the stop element 36. Then, when a pusher dog 33 approaches the stop element 36 by spacing coincident with the dimensions of the printed signatures or sheets 28 and 30, the printed signatures or sheets 28 and 30 are completely aligned, and simultaneously passed through the tail end of the stop element 36. |
