PURPOSE:To obtain a heat resistant hollow yarn separating membrane capable of resisting to sterilizing conditions with high pressure steam by constituting the hollow yarn membrane of a polyamide expressed by a specified formula having a network structure over the whole thickness of the follow yarn membrane wherein pores having a specified largest pore size communicating to the network structure are formed on the inside and outside surface of the yarn. CONSTITUTION:A feed soln, for forming film is prepd. from a polyamide having a recurrent unit expressed by formula I (wherein R is H, CH3, or C2H5), a good solvent such as N-methyl- pyrrolidone(NMP), etc., an inorganic electrolyte such as LiCl, etc., and ethylene glycol, etc. The feed soln, is heated to >= a phase transition temp. and extruded through an annular orifice of a spinning nozzle of the hollow yarn. At the same time, a core soln. such as a mixed soln. consisting of water and NMP, etc., is discharged form a circular orifice. The extruded soln. and the discharged soln. are introduced into an external coagulating soln. consisting of water after they have traversed through the air. In this stage, the temp. of the core soln, the temp. of the atmosphere during traversing through the air, and the temp. of the external coagulating soln. are regulated to >= the phase transition temp. of the feed soln. Thus, a hollow yarn separating membrane having pores haivng 0.05-1mum largest pore size is obtd. |
