PURPOSE:To prevent evaporation of an org. solvent and work environment pollution effectively and with low cost by covering the surface of the org. solvent having a higher density than that of water with an evaporation inhibitor comprising water containing, if necessary, a salting-out agent and a coloring agent dissolved therein. CONSTITUTION:5-20wt.% salting-out agent which reduces miscibility and accelerates dissociation of water in an org. solvent (e.g., ammonium sulfate) and a coloring agent are, if necessary, dissolved in water to give an evaporation inhibitor 3. On the surface of an org. solvent 2 (which is an org. fluorine-contg. solvent such as a chlorofluorocarbon or an org. chlorine-contg. solvent such as thichloroethylene and is used in a degreasing process in metal surface treatment) in a degreasing and washing tank 1, said evaporation inhibitor 3 is spreaded to form a film of required thickness. |
