PURPOSE:To obtain the title filler for plastics having acicular protrusions and capable of providing a formed article having excellent shape precision, strength, etc., by melting the base material for filler, introducing the melt into a freely rotatable main die with plural forming holes provided on its wall surface, rotating the die, forming the material, and releasing the product by a releasing means. CONSTITUTION:The freely rotatable main die 1 with plural boles 6 provided on its wall surface is prepared. The base material 17 (e.g., glass) for the filler for plastics is supplied to a melting oven 16, melted, and introduced into the die 1 from an opening 2. The die 1 is rotated with a rotating shaft 3 as the axis to deposit the molten material 17 on the inner wall surface by centrifugal force, and the deposit is infiltrated into the forming hole 6. A cooled gas is then introduced into a cooling vessel 7 from a gas inlet 10 to cool the material 17, and the solidified material 21 is released by a releasing means such as compressed gas and recovered in a recovery vessel 12.
