PURPOSE:To fix the gear or flange made of shape memory resin tightly and to facilitate automatic assembly by making the gear or flange of a small piece memorize a shape interferring with the internal wall of the photosensitive drum previously and fixing the photosensitive drum and gear or flange. CONSTITUTION:The gear 4 (or flange) made of the shape memory resin is provided with a circumference-directional belt 11, whose diameter is larger than the internal diameter of the internal wall 1a of the photosensitive drum 1, at an intermediate position of a boss part 8 matching the internal diameter of the photosensitive drum 1, and a gear part 12 which has a large diameter than the cylindrical boss part 8 is formed at the end part. Then the gear 4 is cooled almost to room temperature and then an external force is applied to the belt 11 to the same diameter to the boss 8 and the boss part 8 of the gear 4 is pressed in the photosensitive drum 1 completely; and heating is carried out to restore the belt 11 to its original shape and thus the internal wall 1a of the photosensitive drum 1 and the gear are fixed in contact. Consequently, the reliability, durability, and operability of the fitting are improved. |
