PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flaw detecting device which, when used as a supplementary means in places where an automatic flaw detecting device is not usable, can enhance the accuracy and reliability of inspection as compared with a simple manually-operated flaw detecting device and can enhance reproducibility. SOLUTION: A guide plate 4 provided with a scale 3 is bonded to the surface 2 to be inspected of a subject 1 for inspection, a scanner main body 5 which performs scans using the scale on the guide plate 4 is provided, and the results of inspection are displayed on an ultrasonic flaw detector 11 in accordance with an inspection signal 10 from the ultrasonic probe 6 of the scanner main body 5. In a counting device 12, the X-axis position of the ultrasonic probe 6 is calculated on the basis of an X-axis step-up signal 14 from the X-axis step-up switch 7 of the scanner main body 5, and the Y-axis position of the ultrasonic probe 6 is calculated on the basis of a Y-axis zero reset signal 16 from a Y-axis zero reset switch 8 and a pulse signal 17 from an encoder 9, the X- and Y-axis positions being subsequently recorded in a data sampling recording device 27. |
