PURPOSE:To enable change of spring constant continuously in a non-step manner without replacement of any coil spring by arranging a noncircle sectional member of which sectional secondary moment changes with a rotation angle in a serial manner with a coil spring. CONSTITUTION:In a device in which a knuckle is supported with a pair of upper and lower arms 3, 4 pivoted onto a vehicle body to swing freely, there is provided a plate arm 8 (noncircular sectional member) having bending resiliency in rectangular section while being supported on the upper face of the upper arm 3 at its lower end. The upper end of the arm 8 is arranged at an upper position on the inside of vehicle than the lower end while is leaning toward the inside of vehicle. This arm 8 is capable of turning around the center axis of which sectional secondary moment changes with operation of a motor 9. A coil spring 5 is set leaning in the direction substantially orthogonal to the arm 8 si as to work the support force to bent the arm 8. |
