PURPOSE:To form a thermosetting transparent protective film having good coatability, adhesive property and chemical resistance and to improve reliability by incorporating a copolymer of specific glycidyl methacrylate and methyl methacrylate, a mulifunctional acid anhydride and a fluorine surfactant into the above compsn. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. is so formed as to contain the copolymer of the glycidyl methacrylate GMA and methyl methacrylate MMA having >= 100000 weight average mol. wt., the multifunctional acid anhydride and the fluorine surfactant. The weight ratio of the GMA and the MMA is preferably in a 3:7 to 9:1 range by weight. While the GMA improves the adhesive property to a base material, the peeling from the base material is obviated not by the homopolymer thereof but by copolymerizing the MMA at >= 10%. A trimellitic acid anhydride, pyromellitic acid anhydride, etc., are usable as the multifunctional acid anhydride. The thermosetting transparent resin having the good coatability, the good adhesive property and the chemical resistance is formed in this way. |
