PURPOSE:To improve display quality and to simplify the process for production by forming light shielding films having electrical conductivity respectively on band-shaped transparent electrodes formed on a pair of transparent substrates. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the transparent substrates 12, 13, the plural band-shaped transparent electrodes X of one side formed at a specified pitch on the one transparent substrate 12 and the plural band-shaped transparent electrodes Y of he other side formed at a specified pitch on the other transparent substrate 13 are provided. The plural light shielding films 18 of one side formed of a conductive material in the positions of the width corresponding to the spacings with the adjacent band-shaped transparent electrodes of the other side are formed on the band-shaped transparent electrodes 12 of the one side at the pitch equal to the pitch of the band-shaped transparent electrodes Y of the other side. Further, the plural light shielding films 19 of the other side formed of the conductive material in the positions of the width corresponding to the spacings with the adjacent band-shaped transparent electrodes X of the one side are formed on the band-shaped transparent electrodes 13 of the other side at the pitch equal to the pitch of the band-shaped transparent electrodes X of the one side. The electric resistance value of the respective band-shaped transparent electrodes are lowered in this way and the display quality is improved; in addition, the process for production is simplified. |
