<p>PURPOSE:To record additional information always with a constant image density regardless of the type of paper by a method wherein a conduction time to a thermal head is controlled in accordance with the type of paper when the additional information is recorded. CONSTITUTION:Thermal transfer times suitable for every type of paper are prestored in a control ROM 102. The thermal transfer times stored in the control ROM 102 are so set that a longer thermal transfer time is assigned to paper having lower transfer properties. Various types of copying paper are ranked into several levels in accordance with their thermal transfer properties, and these data are manually inputted from an input key Cl. The aforesaid data are previously empirically found. With the input of the type of paper from the input key Cl, a CPU 100 makes an additional information recording means T record additional information on the paper by selecting an optimum thermal transfer time stored in the control ROM 102 in accordance with the inputted data of the type of paper.</p> |
