PURPOSE:To obtain fine polymer particles having a small mean particle diameter and a narrow particle diameter distribution by precipitating specified polymer particles from a dispersion of polymer drops. CONSTITUTION:Part of polymer particles are precipitated from a dispersion of polymer drops (e.g. one prepared by adding a solution of an ethyl methacrylate/methyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid copolymer in an ethyl acetate/n-butanol solvent to an aqueous gelatin/sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution in a specified ratio and agitating the mixture) by, for example, adding a specified amount of water. |
