<p>PURPOSE:To improve water permeability by once solidifying an aq. suspension contg. a cementitious mixture consisting of alkaline earth metal hydroxides, fly ashes and alkaline earth metal sulfites, then crushing the mixture to granular shapes. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gases of power plants are introduced into a limestone slurry to prepare the slurry contg. the alkaline earth metal sulfites and sulfates such as CaSO3.1/2H2O and CaSO4.2H2O. A prescribed amt. of the fly ashes are added to this slurry and after the moisture thereof is adjusted, lime is incorporated therein to obtain the slurry contg. 30 to 90% cementitious mixture consisting of 25 to 70wt.% (hereafter %) alkaline earth metal hydroxides, such as Ca(OH)2, 0.25 to 70% alkaline earth metal sulfites (contg. partly, sulfate) and 10 to 99.5% fly ashes. This slurry is pressurized and once solidified to 10 to 60kg/cm<2> compressive strength after natural drying or moisture adjustment. The solidified mixture is then crushed and a gravel-like building material having the water permeability of 0.075 to 4.76mm grain sizes is obtd.</p> |
