PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and improve an actuation device for a windshield wiper so as to actuate adequate wiping even in an abnormal condition. SOLUTION: An evaluation device 20 has a detector stage to detect whether a sensor signal S are positioned in normal regions (UGR and OGR) or not in the detector stage. Moreover the device 20 can be made switch-controllable into a basic interval mode intermittent mode and interval) by using a selected stage when the signal S or an actual measured value are confirmed their positioning in other than the normal regions.
