PURPOSE: To provide the data transfer system which selectively controls plural computers differing in control system by a portable input device and makes a necessary display without complicated operation. CONSTITUTION: This system consists of the portable input device 1 which sends a coordinate signal and control signals, a reception part 2 which receives the coordinate signal, etc., the computers 3 and 4 which differ in control system, and an interface part (I/F) 5 arranged between the reception part 2 and computers 3 and 4; and the I/F 5 has signal system conversion parts 8 and 9 which adaptably convert the coordinate signal, etc., to the control systems of the computers 3 and 4, a power source state output part 10 which outputs a 1st power-ON signal to the conversion parts 8 and 9, and a priority level decision part 7 which determines the supply priority levels of the coordinate signal, etc., to the conversion parts 8 and 9, which send the 1st power-ON signal to the corresponding connected computers 3 and 4 and send 2nd power-ON signals from the computers 3 and 4 to the decision part 7. Then the decision part 7 supplies the coordinate signal, etc., to the conversion part 8 and 9 having outputted the 2nd power-ON signal according to the specific priority levels.
