PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smaller optical pickup without being provided with the adjustment mechanism for a photoelectric transducer and having excellent impact resistance and high reliability. SOLUTION: By providing a glass plate 3 for bending an optical path in the optical path, a semiconductor laser 5 is arranged adjacently to a photoelectric transducer 6, by properly making the thickness T of the glass plate 3, the position between the light emitting surface 5a of the semiconductor laser 5 and the light receiving surface 6a of the photoelectric transducer 6 is determined unequivocally from the thickness of the glass plate, the refractive index and the inclination. Thus, by mounting the semiconductor laser 5 and the photoelectric transducer 6 on a base plate, it is composed of one assembly. Consequently, since the semiconductor laser and the photoelectric transducer are composed as one assembly part, the optical pickup is made small in size and the adjusting mechanism is not provided in the optical pickup or a manufacturing equipment. When impact force is exerted on the optical pickup, the relative position between the semiconductor laser and the photoelectric transducer is not changed and the reliability is high. |
