PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a packaging article due to shocks by only applying a simple improvement on a conventional vertical pillow packaging machine. SOLUTION: A packaging sheet 12 is led to a former 20 by a sheet feeder and cylindrically wound up on the outer periphery of a cylinder 22 and then the joint of the packaging sheet 12 is vertically welded and sealed by a vertical sealer 23 and the cylindrical packaging sheet 12 is laterally welded and sealed by a lateral sealer 25. And the cylindrical packaging sheet is cut off when necessary. An article is fed in the cylinder 22 and charged in the packaging sheet 12 cylindrically formed and sealed at the bottom. The upper part thereof is sealed by the lateral sealer to obtain a pillow package 26. When the article is fed in the cylinder 22, a spirally shaped feeding guide 30 is set in the cylinder in advance to reduce the falling speed of the article and prevent damage owing to the shocks. |
