The fishing hook is formed with a hollow receptacle (1), formed in the end of the shaft of the hook, opposite to the hooked end. The receptacle is formed with a slight taper and consists of a flared orifice (3) at its end. It presents a surface, which may be roughened and is sufficiently sized to allow an effective adhesion. The user introduces the line (4) through the orifice into the receptacle. The line carries a coating of contact adhesive and this secures the line into the hook.
