PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize positive polarity and low voltage of a power-supply Voltage and to achieve a high-speed modulation regarding a semiconductor light source for an optical transmitter and regarding an optical transmission module using the semiconductor light source. SOLUTION: A DC signal source 4 which is connected to at least a DC application part 2 and an AC signal source 5 which is connected to at least one AC application part 3 are installed with reference to a semiconductor light source 1 which is provided with the DC application part 1 and with the AC application part 3. When an AC signal whose electric polarity is identical to that of a DC signal which is applied from the DC signal source 4 is applied from the AC signal source 5, the optical output of the semiconductor light source 1 is controlled so as to be turned on and off. |
