PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processor and a document processing method capable of preventing the character strings of adjacent rows from overlapping with each other without specifying a row pitch by a user in the case of processing document data including the character data different in sizes. SOLUTION: When one row is specified from the rows of the document data in which the caracter string data of the different sizes coexist displayed at a CRT display device by the user and it is instructed to change the row pitch for the specified row by the user, the row pitch whose change is instructed is acquired by a specified row pitch acquisition processing part and displayed at a row pitch display processing part 3. Then, the appropriate row pitch for preventing the character string of the specified row and the character string of the adjacent row from overlapping with each other is calculated by a reference row pitch calculation processing part 4, the row pitch of an object row is changed by a row pitch change processing part 5 and the document data are displayed on the CRT display device by the changed row pitch. |
