PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the distortion of a read picture due to by hand shake, etc., at the time of operation and to secure the compatibility of the connections of pictures due to repeated scannings by arranging a pointer, consisting of a pair of track balls in the neighborhood of both ends of a reading part. SOLUTION: A first pointer 5a is arranged on the line of a reading axis line 4 being the center line of a reading part 2 reading the image of an original, and a second pointer 5b is arranged on the side opposite to interpose the part 2. The moving quantity and the moving direction of the part 2 at the time of scanning by a handy scanner 1 are detected by the track balls being the first and second pointers 5a and 5b and transmitted to a main body device as the coordinate values of the set of this one pair of pointers and image reading data, generated by the part 2. The main body device sets an image area by image data originated by the handy scanner 1 and positional data in the part 2. Thereby an image area corresponding to the reading position read by the handy scanner 1 is always reproduced. |
