PURPOSE:To provide a coating liquid for a thermal transfer sheet which enables even a thin coat to demonstrate an excellent anti-static function. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid for a thermal transfer sheet contains a resin solution and carbon black to which a wax dispersant is added, and is best suited for an undercoat as a coating liquid. Fine wax particles, hardly compatible with a resin, are present as such in the form of particles. During drying process after application, numerous voids generate in the film of the undercoat layer due to the defoaming action of solvent vapor. Therefore, it is presumed that the static electricity can be easily discharged into the atomosphere due to the presence of air pores formed by these voids. |
