<p>The present invention is directed to microbiocidal combinations and processes for inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. The novel combinations and processes of the present invention show unexpected activity against microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi and algae. Specifically, the microbiocidal combinations comprise (i) an oxidant or oxidizing biocide such as potassium monopersulfate, sodium perborate, hydrogen peroxide or sodium percarbonate, (ii) a non-oxidizing microbiocide such as glutaraldehyde and optionally (iii) a surfactant/dispersant, (iv) an anti-corrosive material, and (v) an anti-scale material.</p> |
