<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a carry of a hit ball, to improve hitting sound, and to increase the head volume, by making a first forged matter comprising a face wall, a crown wall, and a neck part and a second forged matter comprising a sole wall respectively made of 7000 system aluminum alloy and integrating both forged matters by welding. SOLUTION: A face wall 3, a crown wall 4, and a neck part 5 to constitute a golf club head H are formed as a first forged matter 1, and a sole wall 6 is formed as a second forged matter 2. Forged matters 1, 2 are made of a 7000 system aluminum alloy (duralumin) and both welding matters 1, 2 are integrated by welding W. As a 7000 system aluminum alloy, one containing 1.0-1.5 wt.% of Cu, 5.0-6.0 wt.% of Zn, 1.0-2.0 wt.% of Mg, and 0.3-0.5 wt.% of Mn as the alloy components is preferable and the tensile strength of obtained aluminum alloy is 40-50 kgf/cm<2> . The face wall thickness is set to 4.1-4.9 mm.</p> |
