PURPOSE:To reduce the backward-and-forward vibration produced in a vehicle at the time of acceleration or deceleration. CONSTITUTION:A vibration control device for an internal combustion engine comprises an operating condition detecting means A for detecting the operating condition of the internal combustion engine, a target vehicle vibration value calculating means B for calculating the target vehicle vibration value on the basis of the above operating condition, a vehicle vibration detecting means C for detecting the backward-and-forward vibration of the vehicle, and a torque control quantity setting means D for setting the torque control quantity of the internal combustion engine E by which the detected result of the vehicle vibration detecting means C is controlled to a target vehicle vibration value by using the optimum feedback gain being set on the basis of a dynamic model of the engine E. The torque control quantity setting means D comprises an ISC valve opening setting means for setting the opening of the ISC valve by which the flow rate inside an ISC piping bypassing the downstream of the intake piping of the engine E is controlled. |
