FIELD: units of planetary gear trains with multi-level stepped arrangement of satellites for helicopter transmission systems. SUBSTANCE: planetary gear train consists of drive sun gear wheel, set N of primary satellites, set of secondary satellites, satellite shaft on which one primary satellite and one secondary satellite are mounted, fixed ring-shaped gear wheel and satellite holder which is mounted on set of upper and lower bearings for rotation simultaneously with rotation of satellite shafts and transmission of torque to shaft of helicopter main rotor. Set of primary satellites is divided into set N/2 of upper primary satellites and set N/2 of lower primary satellites. Upper and lower primary satellites are located in two levels in stepwise alternating manner at which each upper primary satellite partially covers profiles of adjacent lower primary satellites. Such arrangement of unit ensures increase of gear ratio compensating for increased output power of power plant at retained rotational speed of helicopter main rotor.
