PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet the wettability, dyeing property, drying property, and water resistance of ink, and also enhance its transparency by laminating in turn an ink acceptable layer employing copolymeric resin such as a hydrophobic monomer and a protection layer employing similar copolymeric resin and minute grains on at least one surface of a base material. SOLUTION: The recording medium include an ink image acceptable layer having as an essential component copolymeric resin consisting of at least hydrophobic monomer, cation modified acryl monomer, and diacetone acryl amide as a monomer component on at least one surface of a base material 2. Laminating the ink image acceptable layer 3 and a protection layer 4 containing copolymeric resin and minute grains by the turn allows an ink jet recording medium to be obtained with an excellent image quality and drying property of ink. In addition, by the use of diacetone acryl amide as an acryl monomer of an amide system for ink dyeing, a good image quality and complete water resistance can be given through a combination with a dihydrazide compound. |
