PURPOSE: A rotary knob device is provided to drive a switch member having multicontacts with a simple construction of the rotary knob by converting a rotary motion of the rotary knob into a rectilineal reciprocating motion of an interlocking leg through a rack and a pinion and freely setting the stroke of the reciprocating motion of the interlocking leg within a range of one rotation of the rotary knob. CONSTITUTION: A rotary knob device includes a rotary knob(30) installed in a through hole(21) of a housing(20) for moving rotatively, a switch part(50) having terminals selectively connected according to the rotary motion of the rotary knob, and an interlocking device selectively connecting the terminal of the switch part, wherein the interlocking device is formed with a pinion(40) installed in the lower part of the rotary knob in coaxial with the rotary knob for transmitting an electric power and a rack(45) installed between the pinion and the switch part for being communicated with the switch part and converting the rotary motion of the pinion into a rectilineal motion.
