<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the unit requirement of electric power when gas is separated by PSA by contriving the operation of a blower at the adsorption step and the operation of a vacuum pump at the desorption step and to make the blower and the pump small in capacity. SOLUTION: In thus gas separating method of repeating the adsorption step and the desorption step, the vacuum pump is used when the operation of discharging the gas existing in an adsorption column is started before the pressure in the adsorption column becomes atmospheric pressure and the blower is used when the operation of feeding a raw material gas to the adsorption column is started before the pressure in the adsorption column becomes atmospheric pressure.</p> |
