PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a saturated cyclic ether stably and in high yield over a long period of time from anα,δ-diol fatty acid ester. SOLUTION: This method for producing a saturated cyclic ether by reacting anα,δ-diol fatty acid mono- and/or diester in the presence of a solid acid catalyst is characterized by that the reaction is carried out in such a condition that >=50 mol% of the fatty acid ester fed into the reaction system is vaporized.
