METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FLEXIBLE TUBE FOR ENDOSCOPE, AND FLEXIBLE TUBE FOR ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube for endoscope having excellent chemical resistance. SOLUTION: This flexible tube 1 for endoscope is composed of a core material 2 and an outer skin 3. The core material 2 is composed of a helical tube 21 and a net-like tube 22, and the outer skin 3 is formed by putting an outer skin material on the outer periphery of the core material 2 by extrusion molding. The jacket material contains a crosslinking assistant not to be substantially transformed at the time of extrusion molding and a high polymer material. Also, the outer skin 3 is subjected to chemical resistance improving treatment by radiation exposure. It is preferable that the content of the crosslinking assistant in the outer skin material is 0.5-5 wt.%. It is preferable that the exposure dose of radiation to the outer skin 3 is 1×105-6×106 Gy. It is preferable that the energy per quantum of the radiation is 1×102-4×106 eV.
