SETTING METHOD FOR O2 SENSOR OF CATALYST CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method for O2 sensor of catalyst converter which can be set to the catalyst converter. SOLUTION: An inner cylinder hole 40 is formed on an inner cylinder 20, the inner cylinder 20 is reduced in the diameter to hold a catalyst 26 therein and an end side of a tubular member 38 expandable to the outer perimeter side is secured to the outside perimeter side. An outer cylinder hole 42 is formed on an outer cylinder 30 and the inner cylinder 20 is inserted into the outer cylinder 30. Both end parts of the outer cylinder 30 are reduced in the diameter to connect to the inner cylinder 20 and the tubular member 38 is expanded and pulled out from the outer cylinder hole 42 outwards. A sensor setting device 16 is connected to the tubular member 38. The tubular member 38 is contracted and the sensor setting device 16 is secured to the outer cylinder 30 to block the space 32 between the inner cylinder 20 and the outer cylinder 30. The space in the inner cylinder 20 is blocked by securing the O2 sensor 12 to the sensor setting device 16. The tubular member 38 is formed in a bellows shape.
