<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably conduct starting in resupply of an electric power source, even when the electric power source of a computer system under a stand-by mode condition is shut off by power failure or the like. SOLUTION: When an electric power source mode in the system switched to an S3 mode of an ACPI (S1), an S3 identifying flag is stored in a flag memory 13 (S3). An OS stores a data duing work in a memory 18, and transmits the S3 mode switching signal of the ACPI to a BIOS 10 (S5). When the power source is shut off, the stored S3 identifying flag is damaged. When the power source is impressed again, electric power source mode information in an electric power source controller 15 is detected (S10), and the S3 identifying flag is detected when the S3 mode (S11). When the S3 identifying flag exists, the OS wakes up a stand-by mode, and reads the data during the work before finish of the system from the memory 18, to be displayed on a monitor 30 (S21). When no S3 identifying flag exists, switching from the S3 condition to an S3 condition is carried out to display a notifying message (S15), and a normal process proceeds through a POST stage.</p> |
