PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear part stern pipe sealing device for preventing the friction damage of a sealing ring and a liner slide contact part caused by water containing mud and sand and effectively extending the lives of the sealing ring and the liner. SOLUTION: In a rear part stern pipe sealing device 1 constituted of a sealing ring using a plurality of lip seals, at least two sealing rings are arranged so as to face the outside of a ship and an air discharging hole 8 is provided in the bottom part of a rearmost part annular chamber 5 plotted by a first sealing ring 2 in the rearmost part facing the outside of the ship and a second sealing ring 3 adjacent to this and facing the outside of the ship. Compressed air is supplied from the ship inside through piping 9 to a second annular chamber 6 plotted by the second sealing ring 3 and a third sealing ring 4, this air is passed between the lip part of the second sealing ring 3 and the slide contact surface of a liner 10 and guided to the rearmost part annular chamber 5 and discharged from the air discharging hole 8 into the water of a ship outside A. |
