PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive refractory excellent in corrosive resistance, and further to provide a method for producing the refractory, capable of simply producing the refractory at a low cost. SOLUTION: This refractory is produced by dispersing fine solid particles having fire resistance in a liquid, and subsequently press-charging the formed slurry into pores 3 on the operation surface of a base material 1 to form a densified layer 4 comprising the fine solid refractory particles densely charged over a prescribed depth. |
