PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply laminate coating simultaneously with printing by applying a liquid permeable heat laminate layer to the surface of the ink absorbing layer of a recording medium and heating the same to form a liquid impermeable transparent layer. SOLUTION: The surface of an ink absorbing layer 131 is covered with a liquid permeable heat laminate layer 132. The ink absorbing layer 131 is supported by a support layer 133 made of PET and a self-adhesive layer 134 is provided to the rear surface of the support layer 133 and covered with release paper 135. The ink liquid droplet emitted from an ink jet head passes through the heat laminate layer 132 to be bonded to the ink absorbing layer 131 on the rear surface side of the laminate layer 132. After printing, the heat laminate layer 132 is heated by a heater 54 and once melted to be cured to be changed to a liquid impermeable transparent layer. The surface of the ink absorbing layer 131 becomes a laminate coated state. |
