<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the wiring operation of a signal cable connected to a curtesy switch in a door locking device constituted so as to be assembled to a door under the state in which a latch-mechanism housing section and a lock-mechanism housing section are combined and unified. <P>SOLUTION: In the door locking device, the latch-mechanism housing section 20, in which a latch mechanism 30 maintaining the door under a closed state while receiving an open-door operation and bringing the door in an open operable state to a car body is housed, and the lock-mechanism housing section 10, in which a lock mechanism making the open-door operation effective under an unlocking state while making the open-door operation ineffective under a locked state are housed, are installed to the door under the state in which both housing sections 20 and 10 are combined and unified mutually. In such a door locking device, a signal cable 37a brought into contact peripherally with a cam surface 31d formed to a latch 31 and connected to the curtesy switch 37 detecting the place of the latch is extended from the inside of the latch-mechanism housing section 20.
