<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector whose contact can be attached to an insulation housing easily and is not deformed abnormally. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector has a contact 30 with a contact which is formed between an engaging end 34 and a terminal 32, and the insulation housing 20 which is formed with one slit opening 22 having a head opening 22a, a neck opening 22b and a leg opening 22d which are communicated with one another, and has the slit opening 22 at its one side. The contact 30 is so contained into the cavity 21 that the contact 33 projects toward the side wall of the insulation housing by passing a neck 33b of the contact through the neck opening 22b from the bottom wall 22e of the insulation housing along the slit opening. After containing the contact 30 in the cavity, jaws 35a and 35b above the neck of the contact are engaged to shoulder steps 22b<SB>1</SB>and 22b<SB>2</SB>positioning at both ends of the opening, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
